End May 2012

On the way to town, a dump truck crashed and got stuck in the mud. Mikey talked about it for weeks and wants to go see the truck almost every day!!! We had to take a picture of it. It has become one of his bed time stories: 'what happened to the broken dump truck'....

At the end of May we spent some nice Sundays at the Westin. We love Prego and our favorite waitress is Poppy. She says she is going to marry Mikey one day :)

We also went to the Novotel at the airport one day and all had our hand read.
It was so funny to hear all the things that were going to happen in our future :)

Robert even argued with the hand reader guy. He could argue with a light pole if he had the chance :)

On May 29 our friend Gretel came to Hyderabad to visit us. She and Robert went to college together.
She has two beautiful boys at home and her wonderful husband took care of them while she came to INDIA!!! Such an adventure and we had an amazing time!!!!

One of the funniest things I ever done, was get a FISH PEDICURE with Gretel at Inorbit Mall!!!!!!
The sensation of putting your feet in the water and the fish basically jumping on your feet and start eating your skin is unbearable for the first few minutes!!! It tickles like crazy!!!

Such a fun experience, you should really try it if you have never done it :)

May 2012

On May 2, 2012 my Sister Anne, Mikey and I flew to India. We first flew to Mumbai and had to wait 8 hours(!!!!) in Mumbai for a 1 hour flight. Of course it was in the middle of the night and everything was closed!! What an annoying trip!!! When we got to Hyderabad, Robert had overslept and we had to wait another 45 minutes for him to pick us up. Now 45 minutes doesn't sound like a lot, but it is a LONG time when you have been traveling 24 hours...
When we got home we all took a nap and at about 5pm, we all decided to go outside on the balcony. When I wanted to go back inside, the balcony door had locked!!!! We were stuck outside!!! Luckily Anne had her cell phone and we were able to Skype Robert. He had not seen all the text messages we had sent and after about 2 hours on the balcony, Rob was home to release us. What a day!!!

On Saturday May 19 we decided to make the drive to Ramoji Film City. It wasn't around the corner. I actually thought it was in Hyderabad, but it was a few hours driving. Anne K. Steve, my sister, Robert, Mikey and I all made the trip. Of course it was hot as you know what, so we didn't stay too long. Ramoji Film City is the largest film studio complex in the world. Many Bollywood films were shot there. When we got there, we had to park the car and then you had to take a bus to the grounds. There was a choice between the VIP package and the regular package. The difference was A/C or no A/C and we opted for the latter. It was quite an experience. I don't think I'll ever want to make a bus trip in India :)

We went to a Wild West Stuntman show. Mikey got really scared from the loud (fake) gunshots and was still talking about it for weeks!!!!

After a long day and a lot of driving we ended up for dinner at the Taj Krishna and Zayba (who was visiting her relatives during the day) joined us for dinner. Another FUN day in Hyderabad!!!!
