The last week of March we had a lot of fun days. We went for dinner at the Taj Krishna, which is a fancy hotel here in Hyderabad.

Claudia and I had a few days where we went shopping. We went to Lad Bazaar right next to Charminar. We bought some bangles, so cute.

On the way home we saw a guy get a haircut in a box next to a busy road. We HAD to take a picture :)

For Ugadi (which is a festival that marks the beginning of the Hindu Lunar Calendar, or locally knows as their New Year's celebration, we went to Venkat's house. During Ugadi, people hang Mango leaves over their door and make Mango Naan. Venkat's family couldn't be any nicer!!! All his relatives came out to see the 'foreigners'. So funny. We were taking pictures of them and they were taking pictures of us. Venkat's children Chinnu and Avinash were so sweet!!! They live in a studio apartment with one bed where they all sleep, a bathroom and a kitchen. No air-conditioning and it get's really hot here in the summer. They had a big fan, which was nice.

We had such a great time and an unforgettable Ugadi!!! Thanks to Venkat and their family for their incredible hospitality!!!
